I just bought a 1990 Fastback power windows/locks ect model with a seized engine and nothing wants to work xept the bulbs in my headlights. No brakelights, turn signals, power seatbelt, nothing. All the fuses are fine. My only solution so far is to rip out the entire interior wiring harness and replace it with a good one from the junkyard (the entire interior is stripped so it shouldnt be too bad). But i'm pretty sure theres a simple solution somewhere i just have no idea where it would be, i'm not too good with the wiring part. Let me know what you think. Oh and the engine cranks , well the starter cranks up against the seized flywheel. And the digital clock lights up but doesnt show the time. Yea thats it, help me out please

Not too sure on the 240SX fuse arrangement but on UK spec S13s there are some 75amp fuses near the battery. I one of these blows you get exactly the symptoms you mention, engine cranks (& will start), headlamps work but nothing else, no dash lights etc.

DUDE! i think u had the same thing happen to u as happened to me...although i have an S14, dunno if its the EXACT same, since i dont have power seatbelts or anything, but the engine would start, but gauges wouldnt move, no lights, no radio, and thanks to it happening, the clock still has backlight but the clock wont show... it was a fuse RELAY, $11 at the nissan dealership.

Check all the big fuses in the engine bay, and remember there is a third fuse block below the Y pipe on the intake. The Nissan dealership will have those fuses as stated before, my big guess is it's one of those.

I think most of them have a plastic cap over the top that you can remove and then look, or if not you can check for current across the circuit, if you get a reading it's not blown, if you get nothing, it is.
