I am so close to driving this thing off of a clif AGAIN. I had just washed the car and was going to take it to wally world and was idling there waiting for the gate to open and it just dies like I had turned off the ignition. I went over to the ECU and tried to check for codes but the l.e.d light was not on... I tried to turn it over but nothing, no clicks or anything happened. I was thinking maybe water got in something but i'm not sure. why would it cut power to the ecu... everything else had power... i could turn on my stereo and my clock on the dash still worked. wtf. anyone that has any suggestions, please help me. Thank YOU

yeah. Feel the cables if one is getting hot then that one is not getting a good enough connection. If thats not it take a test light and see if you have power going into the ECU.

yea i will try everything. but if there is power going to my cd player and most of everything else, the battery wouldn't be a problem, right? i'm going to try to find where the power line connects to the ecu ...

Hey guys I just went out to look at my car. I played back exactly what i was doing when it died. I pressed my foot down on the clutch so i could get some reach into the back seat to try to put this bottle of simple green somewhere where it wouldn't roll around. then it dies. I looked underneath the dash just now and noticed that when i pushed on the clutch I had smashed a wire between my clutch and the metal part of the chassis. I saw that i smashed it so good when i put my weight on it to reach into the backseat it exposed some wires. SO now i'm wondering if it blew a fuse somewhere, is this possible..? Is my ecu in safe mode right now because of that? it's not even on. The wire that I smashed ran to my dual electric fans... everything else turns on in my car except for the ecu and the dual fans. (they usually turn on when I turn the key)

FIXED It.... I had my cd player on feeling sad and thinking about what it could be. I found some more 30 a fuses to try so when I pulled the IGN fuse out it popped and sparked, i looked at it a bit closer and saw how it was blown... I replaced it and WOO on goes the fans and YIPPIE it works again! I think I got it to break loose and blow so I could replace it... strange how electrical things work.
