I was trying to change the oil in the sr20, I couldnt get the oil filter off by hand so I needed to get an oil filter wrench to fit the little azz oil filter b/c the one I used for the KA was too big. Well before realizing I couldnt get the oil filter off by hand, I drained the old oil out, so I needed to run into advance to get an oil filter wrench that fit and some more oil(I had to use the good oil to put back in the motor to go to the store)

I got back in the car and tryed to start it up and nothing happened. All the power stuff works still, the clock, seatbelts, cd player, it just wont crank. It doesnt even click or anything it just doesnt do anything when I turn the key, no noise at all. What the helll could I have unplugged or undid while I was trying to get the oil filter off?? Im so pissed right now I can hardly type, I have stuff to do today and my car wont start....anybody have any ideas? I would greatly appreciate it

There is a wire that goes to the starter, it has a plug on the end that is proteced with a rubber boot, you probably knocked it off the starter, it is the start signal wire. I believe it is black with yellow stripe. PLug it back onto the starter and it should start. I know its hard to see down there, so try looking from under the car.I am 99.9% sure thats what happened.good luck.p.s. dont put your oil filters on so damn tight!

Yep, the start is right by the oil filter. Check wiring around that area.

You see, this is why I love this forum. Thats exactly what it was, you saved me a big head ache, thanks man. Yeah I feel pretty dumb now, but I dont care b/c my cars runs again :)

ps- I've only had the car for about 3 weeks with the sr20 in, so this is the first time I've changed the oil in it, I guess I can thank Midatlantic Motorsports for putting the filter on so tight, haha

My car is doing the exact same thing only problem is it's not that wire. It clicks but no crank at all.

Ah. It's those big blue 12v fuse looking thingies. They are blownified. The starter clicks but just doesn't engage or turn over. This is the gay.

What in the hell are you talkin about?Do you have blown fuses? then replace them. There are other "big blue things" in there too, like relays. Are you still having problems? what the hell is going on!?you might want to start a new thread (in english).

Uh nevermind, I'm totally ****ed. It's the starter. I tried that starting your car thing by putting a screwdriver on the two diodes on the bendix on the starter. Turns out I'm a loser and my starter is a whore.
