so this morning it sprinkled enough to wet the roads. on the way to school i make this big left turn. three lanes on oppsing traffic and six lanes that are T'd to me (if you can understand that). so its a pretty big intersection to go through. im going about 40mph or so when i take the turn... i usually take it at 40, i didnt realize the roads were that wet. then all of a sudden i start fishtailing... good thing i recovered. i almost hit the center divider. and another car

i just felt like ranting. but more importantly... to remind myself not to take a turn a fast turn when the roads are wet

wet road + rwd + hard turn =

yeah, the roads are usually more slick when it has just sprinkled, or the first hour or so after it starts t rain because all of the dirt, grime, oil, etc... on the road comes to the surface makes it slick and hasn't had a chance to get washed all the way off

This is a perfect reason why everyone should spend a few nights, when its raining, in a big open lot, learning slide control.

I never had a problem in my 240 when the *** end kicked out

I did that slowly sliding into a ditch with my old eclipse....it seemed like time had stopped whil the guard rail got closer and closer. Snow and summer tires don't mix.

My tires are wearing down to wear they finally loose it a little bit in the rain at decent speeds. You used to really have to work at it to get my Nitto's to loose traction. But, unfortunately I have done too much rain 'drifting' apparently, and have worn the tires down enough to where they aren't as sticky anymore

Oh well

Glad you didnt' wreck.

Oh boy, I can't wait for it to start raining again. My ****ty Firestones (got them for free, shut up) don't hold up in dry weather, let alone wet... it'll be an interesting winter.

My 3rd day driving my 240, and a manual I lost it on a turn, I almost went into a ditch, but I was ok. Now I do it for fun (sliding in the rain, no going to the ditch)
