notch top sr20 starter same as black or red?

i believe the starter is going out on my car, its a sr20det notch top. now my question is will a black or red top starter work as a replacement. and im pretty sure the ka starter wont so if anyone can let me know it would be greatly appriciated

Get the number off of your starter and I will compare it to mine. I think they are different because I had a friend pick me up a used starter while he was in Japan and it didn't work for my red top. It tested fine but that was 7 years ago.....its been sitting in storage ever since.
