Well, it's actually two questions:

First, assuming you have a press or access to a press, why even bother getting heim joint units when you can replace the entire rear end bushing set with poly bushings for $36? I doubt I could tell a difference between polyurethane and steel when push comes to shove. Since the stock adjustable camber bolts for the RUCA's allow for upto negative 2 degrees of camber, the adjustability feature isn't worth $300 either.

Secondly, if I happen to replace them anyway with Battle Version or SPL units, do you leave the stock cam bolts in there and set both sides to a neutral level and then adjust the camber with the adjustable rod or what?

If you have them, you know what I'm talking about. Just curious.........

because the steel deflects less than poly and the adjustable arms allow for a lot more adjustment than stock (stock doesn't allow for extreme alignments some prefer for race).

Fair enough. I thought 2 degrees of negative camber in the rear would be pretty extreme!!

However, what about the second part to my question? Do you leave the stock eccentric cam bolts installed?

2 degrees isn't too much, and when you lower your car even only an inch and a half or so, you'll find that the stock adjustment is barely adequate to get the camber back to 0. This is a big reason that people with coilovers opt for rucas in the back. that way they can se their camber back to 0 so they don't ruin their tires on the highway.

You can, or you can replace it.
