I looked all around the ECU but nothing. The dash works fine. I looked up nissan's OBD2 codes and found that 0215 also means evap valve control. What does the evap control valve do, would it screw with the A/f mixture and make my car run lean?
Evap is the evaporization emissions control... gasoline has a low heat of vaporization (which is why it's a good fuel) which causes it to vaporize at normal ambient temps. So the vapor, rather than just being vented into the air, is routed through a tube to the evap canister (aka charcoal canister) where they are stored to later be injected into the intake manifold and be burnt.
The Evap Control Valve is the round plastic piece that sits on top of the evap canister and has 3 lines running from it.
The Evap Valve error won't change your a/f's.
