going to hook up the boost gauge tomorrow, ran out of time today. and yeah, i hear it spooling of course, and the bov working...Chris28 wrote:Double check all your piping and hoses, whether it be boost or vacuum. Also make sure your wastegate is hooked up properly. If it's stuck open you aren't going to see any boost. You should at least hear the turbo spool and your boost gauge should show boost, so it has to be a leak somewhere.
Starter fluid, spray your piping and if it surges up....you have a leak! wouldnt recomend shooting the hoses with it, might eat em up.Stratokat wrote:it idles perfect... just honestly feels like there are no balls anywhere throughout the power band!!!
best way of checking for leaks? =/
i'll check it... but im pretty sure the turbo is the main issue. very excessive amounts of blow by[theres even oil in the intake], i dont hear it spooling any more. and the wastegate opens up after the smallest bit of pressure accumulates and doesnt let the car accelerateblacksrjdm wrote:Or your timing is off, the popping and backfiring is a givaway to that. Turn your CAS and see if that helps.
I know you sid the maf is good, but sounds like it to me.Stratokat wrote:so the problem wasnt the turbo...
gah... im so frustrated. please, i need help... its acting worse than ever.
the car cannot hold an idle unless i give itgas for a few seconds right after start up, then when i try to drive it, i can put the pedal to he floor and it just doesnt respond.
