So i started this swap wayyy to long ago, and i realized this today. I was driving the car to pick up a girl....and it was running well....i started it up, let it warm up. then was driving. i brought it to about 6500 throught the first 4 gears...then to about 5 in 5ith....and it got there fast!...then again im used to the ka24de...haha. Well it was running good...and i picked her up. i was then leaving the parking lot and i came out, went to like 5000 in first and hit second. pulled that up to like 4500 and let off to take a corner...i heard my stock bov open as usual, but suddenly there was a big loss of power...i couldn't build any boost!!!! at all!!!! I have smooth power from like 1-2000 rpm...then sputtering and bogging....and according to my Greddy profec b spec-2 i am getting to a whopping .4lbs of boost.....

my friend thinks its either my wastegate stuck open....or my BOV stuck open....

There was no smoke or anything...just complete loss of power...and runs like complete A** above 2000ish...depending how hard i step on the gas....

ontop of all that. my car now won't idle right. When i parked, it kept dipping down hard to like 100 rpm then back up to like 8....or it would just die...

any help or info would help soo much....i just want it to run....

thanks all

Sounds like a boost like boost leak to me. Check to make sure all your clamps are tight around you piping: Hot pipe, cold pipe: intercooler, etc.

thanks, im going to do a boost leak test tonight so i can find out for sure...but i know that my BOV was leaking a tiny amount, so im thinking that when i slammed it open in second it might have stuck WFO...causing this. i bought an HKS-SQV anyway...hope that solves my problem.

double check the wastegate to make sure the arm hasn't come off the gate door. I had that happen when I first got the car, and it wouldn't boost at all, and had no power above 2000.

But it does sound more like a boost leak. But for it to be that massive, you could just look at your pipe connections and see which one isn't connected anymore

you beat on your ride like that everytime or just for the ladies? seriously, is it necessary to get boost in first gear...right out of the parking lot?

I don't normally drive like that...i just wanted to show her how fast it was...cuz she was all happy that i was in it, not under it. Kindof that "proving it wasn't a waste of time" tihng....

but no...normally ionly smash when im drifting....
