I had my ecu tuned down in florida. Its a racing tune. I was told that its tuned to run without an o2 sensor because its alot safer. With no o2 in there is causing my engine to sound like it has an exhaust leak, so I was told to just plug the hole in the o2 housing where the sensor belongs to eliminate the noise. Is this safe? I was told this by the tech that did all the work for me.

i would just plug it with a old o2 sensors or find a bolt that fits, it should be fine.

So you're literally running no O2 sensor? Yep, that's bad.Like mentioned, either leave the sensor in the hole or find a plug to fill the hole.

Personally I would at least run a wide band in there. You need to have some way to monitor a/f ratios.

Nah theres nothing there right now. I'm getting the hole plugged tomm so theres no more exhaust leak noise coming from the engine. I was thinking about geting a wideband o2 but haven't made a decision yet. I don't think it can be that bad because the ecu was tuned to run without an o2.

Brand i'm not sure of. It was tuned down in Florida....a tech that I know that gets all his parts from down there knows the guy that owns the company personally. He said the company down there that tuned mine was the company responsible for tuning the Falken drift cars. Its a really good tune though.
