well last night i decided to start my turbo upgrade, this is what ive acomplished so far

this is just a temporary o2housing. I wanted to try out a Open dump. I will be building a nicer one that recirculates back into the exhaust when i have more free time. i really suck at mig welding so its pretty ugly

OH and i thought i would just throw these in here for the hell of it since i have them.

This is a customers Honda B16 SSautoChrome/XSpower manifold. as you can see it has self Destructed. we just finished up a exspensive integra build and he went with one of these manifolds and SS turbo andhe was in the shop when the guy brought it back to me to get somthing done about it. He finally got why i kept urging him to spend a little more to get a quality turbo and manifold, it really scared him and now hes buying a peakboost mani and precision turbo from us.

its a SS manifold i made in house. i put a mitsu flange on it because i went with the big16 for now. im making another one this month for a friend thats going to run a t3 turbo. the hardest part was the o2 housing and i did that in about 2hours. i can do a better job but i was in a hurry this week due to my work schedule. the other one im making will have 2.5" out for the turbo and a 2" dump tube that will go back into the downpipe.

Hell, I like it just cause I think it would flow better than the stocker and its got that "utilitarian" look that I love so much...

Seriously How much would one with a normal T25 / T28 flange run? Also with the Split O2 dump pipe direct to the cat? Looks solid!

the turbo that used to be attached to the SSAutochrome manifold fell off but the downpipe and intercooler pipe held it in place. Does anyone have a current email adress for anyone in that company i need to get this thing swaped out or money back for it...

as far as making these to sell i dont know what i would charge, i would say around 450-500 for the manifold and o2 housing, the problem being is time! I have almost no spare time and im already in the shop 7days a week morning and night. but if people are seriously intrested i can make some time to turn a few out. i just dont want to make any promises and not have the time to do them.

Well got it up and running today, took about 2weeks since i havent really had time to work on it. so far its great!! i have a nasty exhaust leak between the downpipe and 02housing since i just threw it togther without a gasket to make it to a meet in time. only problems im having is that im leaking small amount of oil from the oil feed line, nothing a few new crushwashers wont cure.

im running about 10-12psi on it with my stock injectors and a Kae maf, no fuel cut yet. its faster and pulls harder, the open dump actually doesn't sound as bad as i thought it would. actually its very itimidating sounding ill get some new pictures tomrrow afternoon when i head back to the shop to do a little bit of clean up work on it. maybe ill even figure out how to get a vid clip of it...

on tuesday our replacement 02sensor for the LM1 arrives, and we can begin tuning it some. we have a turbo mustang going on the dyno wensday for tuning i might just try to convince them to let me put it up on the rollers for a pull or two.

monday morning im holding a meeting and i will schedule out some fabrication time with the rest of our crew, i have 3 foxbody mustang kits to finish building before i can really start on anything new. should be 2-3weeks before i can complete them. good thing is i can probably make 2-3manifolds in one day. and 1-2 02 housings in a day, compared to our mustang kits these things are cake

few more pictures, i left my camera at home today so nothing new, i might even stay late again tomrrow to clean up the engine bay and do a little touch up on the paint. ill also be getting some video tomrrow and wensday, im supposed to have it on the Dyno for a few pulls with our 93turbo cobra wensday night so we shall see what kinda power and A/f's im hitting.

this is the Cobra we finished the same night i got my car back on the road, we are dyno tuning it wensday, looking for close to 400-500whp out of it at 6-8psi

well the first problems came up saturday night on a trip down the highway we were doing a hard pull up to about 80mph and i hear a pipe fall off and bounce around under the car. pull off the highway as my friend is calling me to see if i was picking up any races and i tell him i think my dump tube just broke off. sure enough it did... so tonight i will take off the o2housing to Jig it and then fix it and maybe make another design of it. that cobra in the picture above, took it also to the dyno at 10 or 12 psi it was doing 457 to the wheels on not even a half finished tune. we were having all kinds of problems incorrect MAF, running out of fuel way sooner then supposed to , turns out the fuel pump was a stock unit(supposed to be a walbro 190...) then blew a radiator hose .. so this week we are taking it back up with a walbro255 in it. and some fresh hoses, we are going to get a full tune out of it.
