The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety shows the G35 as the 2nd safest car you can own. It does only go up to the 2004 model year, but I would like to think the redesigned 2007s and G37s would only be safer.

On the other hand, if you own a Chevrolet Blazer, you might want to get rid of it.

The worst cars are on the first page, the best cars on the second page:

And if any mod could change 'our' to 'are' in the title I would appreciate it.

This mean I can drive it like I stole it or do I risk too much since we assume 2005+ are also safe?

The newer models get all "Gs" (goods) but so do most other cars.

Including http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=561

Actually in 2006 it gets a Poor (which is the worst possible) for pelvis/leg in side crash ratings: http://www.iihs.org/ratings/ra...d=335

Looks like it's fixed in 07' and up.

I'm not sure how valid the 2nd safest statement is lol.

Strange how the 350Z is 3rd. But thats mainly because usually the people who die in them are jackass kids doing 120mph with the VDC off and no seat belt. Not too long ago some douche on 395 NB was driving in his super cute blue WRX Sti, showing off to his unfortunate buddies in the car with him, how wreckless he could change lanes and assume his symmetric AWD could work every sort of miracle. Needless to say, just after he passed me, he swerves over to cut off some other nice lady in a corolla, but trying to slalom at 60 mph within 3 lanes of highway traffic isn't always a good idea. he skids and slides to the right, turns left to try to correct, then the tail whips out, the car slides sideways/backwards through 3 lanes of traffic, NARROWLY misses the front of my car, and the car next to me, slams into the barrier, wrecks his super cute WRX. I saw his wreckless driving in my mirrors, and when he passed me all crazy like, I busted out my phone so I could record what I felt was iminent. Unfortunately, when you hit the camera button it says 'loading camera' for about 3 seconds, which by the time it loaded, he was right in front of me with an ecstatic look of fear across his face and his passengers, my dad yelling 'CUIDADO!!' and then the boom of his car into the barrier. It was right at the bottom of the crest between duke st and seminary rd exit. Besides that tho, Pretty much all modern Infiniti and Nissan vehicles are some of, if not THE safest cars in their class.

Definetely good info. When I was researching my '03 I found that they got motortrend car of the year award, and I'm sure safety was cosidered.

I couldn't be more happy with my G35.

What kind of weird school is in session on President's day? Hell, most of the public schools around here had Friday off too. I'm just a lowly University worker, so I only get 1 day off hehehe

LOL... I attend a Private University! They don't give us holidays off!

But even the University of South Florida is in session today... and they are public!

I guess FLA was like "we don't like presidents... they never did anything but get us into trouble so we will punish our college students"
