Post

- purchased a 2011 Rogue SV at a local dealer several weeks ago

- process was smooth, car is fine

- however, was a little concerned that we had not received a bill for our first payment, so i called the dealer who told me to call 1-800-NISSAN1

- dialed the number and then entered

phone tree h-e-double-hockey-sticks! :ohno:

- took two phone calls to get to a 'consumer affairs' person (a pleasant young man), who then put me on hold for 10 minutes with a 'finance' person (a pleasant young woman)...

- laid out my question ('where is my bill?'), she checked the account and found that

my city was listed as my street address in the database!

- fixed that, and then was asked to verify the zip code and found that

NMAC's automated city-form-filler-outer entered a NON-EXISTENT city for my valid zipcode! :wtf2:

- i did get the NMAC POB address and my NMAC 'account number,' so, Nissan, if you're listening:

THE CHECK IS IN THE MAIL!

Sounds like poor attention to detail from some lackey(s) at the finance company.

Welcome, and pics of Rogue!

they can't repo the vehicle if they have a nonexistent location for his place of residence. should have verified the wrong info as correct and enjoyed your brand new freemobile.

'freemobile'! LOL!

i'm kinda the responsible type... (silly me, always paying bills on time)

:-)

i'm sure that 8 days is long enough to go cross-country for processing via U.S. Snail...

it just blew my mind that a large corporation like Nissan would have a horked zipcode lookup system...

i guess if my zipcode were 8512321, Nissan would have no problem knowing it was for prefecture nagasaki akakubimachi

Nissan's team paperwork pencil pushers, penny pinchers (not related to this thread, but what the hell I'll throw it in there) and dealership network has sucked for a long time.

+1 for freemobile.
