alright guys i have a s13 with the rb25 we just got it all started up maybe a month ago slowly working out the bugs i have came to a point where i dont know what else to do it just feels like the motor hasnt reached its full potential i do need a new speed sensor from a z32 which i hope to be recieving soon and there is also a pin sized whole in the o2 housing from grinding it down to make it fit by the steering column would either of these two problems associate with the lack of power? i was having bogging down around 5,000 rpm's but with new spark plugs and a z32 fuel filter it seems to have helped but i dont feel like i have any top end horse power? my boost gauge is reading 10 pounds? the main reason i ask all of this and truely believe it is not running up to its true potential is because my brother in law who is a decent racer raced my friend in a 5 gen prelude and lost with the preludes only mods were stage 3 clutch and intake any help would be great i must redeem myself!!!!

I fear your future. My rb20det swap originally felt like it lost power at the upper RPM's. Eventually, my power loss started occuring at lower and lower RPM's until now, it won't start at all..

When the bogging shows itself, does it happen consistently at the same RPM? If so, while driving: put it in neutral, turn the key all the way OFFF, then restart by roll-starting....once it is started again, pick a strong gear for your speed and try to redline it...(testing to see if it still bogs out).

If the "restart solution" makes the bogging stop temporarily, then our problems may be the same. let us know..

the bogging down has basically stopped because of the fuel filter but it just feels like its holding back in all rpm's but i will give it a try and see if it makes any diffrence thx

coilpacks are known to go cause that problem.check your timing too, makes a HUGE difference

u guys need to start looking into getting a blazt or some type of ecu reader. U guys need to see timing and sensor voltages. This all could be due to a maf or dieing fuel pump or timing being off. But u need to see it while running or driving. Spend the damn 150 and troubleshoot your motor.

+1 for a bad maf...your voltages could be good but it may not be reading proper flow....

my base timing was off 14 degrees and it made a .4 sec diff at the drag strip.
