So for a few weeks now I thought that my SR transmission may have been going out. But now I think it may be my Clutch Master Cylinder. Or maybe I just need to rebleed the clutch? Once in a while it is very hard to get into 1st or 2nd gear and reverse. Or even get out of any gear with the clutch pushed all the way in. Even once in a while I feel the teeth about to grind so I left off and reshift to save my transmission. Has anyone on here had this problem? I've also noticed how squeaky my clutch pedal has become.

clutch pedal squeeking has nothing to do with it, you just need to grease up the spring.

it is probably the slave cylinder - cheap and easy to replace. If you want to go ahead and replace the master cylinder at the same time it's not that hard to do and not that expensive. Changing the transmission fluid with some synthetic GL-4 such as redline mt90 wouldn't hurt either.

So we're pretty sure its the clutch slave that is causing the problem? I thought it would be the Master Cyl not providing the fluid to the slave properly. But its not leaking anywhere visually. And I allready removed my clutch dampener box...

i would do the master and slave at the same time and also the flex hose. i have replaced my master 5 times on my car due to disengagement problems. i didnt realize that the parts store was selling me reman ones instead of new units. pay the extra money and get quality parts and also get a braided flex line they are pretty cheap everywhere like $25-35 and well worth it. if it isnt showing signs of leaking it is usually the master as the check valve inside of it that allows fluid to pass through it to eliminate adjustment . It will start allowing fluid to bleed off back into the reservoir.

Before you go and replace anything, first bleed the hydraulic system of air; cheap and easy.

Also check the clutch pedal free play for proper spec.

On a 95+ its not the spring that sqeeks its the brass fitting that goes inbetween the fork/rod that connects to the master cyl. and the clutch pedal. On a pre 95 im not sure.

Also check your pedal adjustment, as clutch's start to wear you can adjust the pedal sometimes to get some more life out of them.
