God if that was a Type R I'd almost shoot myself. Cause I like Type R's...

I know they aren't I was just saying about how if they were i'd go suicidal.

Type R's have 8k redline gauges, the Type R badging, Type R wing, 5 lug wheels, and only like 3 color options I think? (I've only seen Yellow, White and maybe Black not sure)

I don't dont think it is extremely hidious, although it is definately extreme. Takes an imagination to like it. Also, alot of cars like that DO win shows. I can't say that about every part of the us, but here in the midwest that type of stuff is really popular with show guys. I went to Lowrider last year and Indy Import and Truck bash and there were about 1000 cars/trucks like that of all makes and models.

And some do get driven. I have a buddy with a pathfinder that has full custom interior and a VERY wild paint job.....would normally run like 6-8k where he got it done but got a deal for around 2k since he knows the owner. It's just a different type of taste.

I will say one negative thing though and this applies to the above teggy and about a million other riced out scuttle buckets roaming our poor streets, If it looks fast, it ought to be fast. I will say that I am 100% sick of seeing imports of all kinds with massive wings, body kits and wheels that are auto and bone stock under the hood. I'm sure this has been said a million times before, but I had to mention it since we were looking at this teggy that looks like it could take flight and is a auto that probably runs the quarter mile a second behind my grandma's gmc van.

Oh and one more thing thing about the show winners, Take a look at the cover of Import 2NR's Feb. 04 issue. Gracing it is one of the most hidious civic's I've ever had the misfortune of seeing, and it's won 18 best of shows! Wide body kit, ugly *** 20s, and pink (yes pink) custom interior.

Yea well what can I say, I'd just watched the gay and the curious and wanted a PHAT honda civic with a huge aluminum windcatcher on it, and after browsing ebay for a few minutes I found a 3 yr subscription for 20 bucks buy it now from a guy with good feedback. That was about 2 yrs ago. Thankfully, I've awoken from my nightmare and obtained a clue about what being somewhat of a real auto enthusiast is about. I don't plan on renewing my 55 cents-per-issue subscription when it runs out but since it comes in the mail every month I glance through it and look at some of the pics and ads.

Anyways, my point was it won 18 best of shows. And being in import tuner, those were probably not local shows in little bfe towns, more likely large ones in the west somewhere....

I almost feel sorry for you two for having subscriptions to that, though I thought about getting one to Super Street back when it was a good mag, like 3 years ago when Johnny Chang was the editor (I had a Honda product back then anyway:D)

In terms of logistics, does it bother anyone that the shifter is right in front of the LCD display? I mean, if you're gonna put all that money into that crap, might as well be able to use it! I would say a shifter blocks out a good portion of a 6" screen. lol
