don't go on tracks. pretty good rule of thumb. I mean, this was apparently a safety crew member or something, but I was at summit point raceway this summer watching some much slower porsche cup and similar cars running, and they have a spectator area in the middle of the track. People would walk out onto the track and saunter across as the pack was approaching. They would walk along the middle of the straight just as the cars were at the beginning of the track. I saw some people look up, see the cars coming towards them, and not even walk faster. People just don't seem to realize that racers on a track aren't expecting pedestrians, and they don't realize that these guys are going at least 120 mph, which gives so much less time to react. They were closing the gap awfully fast, and the race marshalls had their hands full yelling at them.
