I hope Hellwig stands behind their products because not only has the hardware on my sway bar begun to badly rust, it is causing my frame to begin to bubble and rust as well. My truck is a florida truck so the frame is very good. I installed the bar during the spring of this year, see install thread on this site written by me. Quite displeased with what I found today while I was checking the air in my rear tires. Anyone got any ideas how I can get this fixed properly? Hellwigs email system isn't working for me and their answering machine is full. I think I am going to remove the bar so as to limit the damage it is causing.

Remove it. Clean the mounting areas and seal with paint. Remove the rust off of the linkage and shoot with clear or with paint.

I would take care of the rig first. If they dont stand up for their product then I would do the second part.

Sure didnt take it long to rust.

You are not kidding. The truck started to roll in May this year after I was certain all the road salt had been washed away. I am going to work on it this coming weekend...4 day weekend.

Spoke with Dave @ Hellwig this morning. He is having me send pics to his email address [email protected]. I'll grab some pics tonight when I get home. He says they will get some powercoated parts out to me as soon as I get them some pics.

Dave Wheeler from Hellwig just called me. He apologized for the whole ordeal, I guess they have had some problems as of late that they are working on. He says they sent out a set of powdercoated u-bolts to me at no charge. I guess fixing the frame is up to me but that's OK, at least Hellwig stood behind their product which is good business IMO.

Applause for Hellwig! They stood behind their product and replaced the u-bolts, powder coated black this time. They look wonderful! Thanks to Dave @ Hellwig for all his help.
