Not being able to shift at all....

i was wondering if anyone knows why a sentra would get in a spot and not be able to switch anyto any gear all the sudden since its been driving all day....?

Does the shifter move and it just doesn't engage gears or will the shifter not move?

If the former, possibly a dead shift linkage, if the latter, dead transmission. Could be a few other things in either case.

who knows i had a stick get stuck in under my 240sx 1 time and i wasnt able to move the shifter

yea, my car did that the a few months ago, it was just one of the clips on the shift linkage cable, it popped off. Wast hard to fix at all!
