OK, I am new to Nissans so go a bit easy on me. I am a good mechanic, can fabricate damn near anything. I just bought a Z32 with a lunched engine (N/A), and my question is this: Which would be easier to swap into it- a VG30DETT, or an RB25DET. Yes, the VG is a factory engine for the cars, but I know the harnesses are damn near the same, and I know people use Z32 ECUs on RB series engines. Engine mounts and radiator relocation are no issue to me. It just seems like you get so much more room to work with an RB, versus breaking your fingers trying to wrap your hand around the VG, and removing the engine to switch turbos, etc. Maybe I'm a complete dumb a** and should just order the VG. I don't know. Any help is appreciated.

why did you post another thread on this stuff? (the title indicates you already know it's redundant)
it seems you've also already convinced yourself which engine you prefer.

it's easier, however, to get maintenance parts for a vg.

the link is a thread to someone who rebuilt his rb25 for his z32.

if you really wanted to do the rb25 swap, just do your hw, and do it.

Thank you! That's all I needed. It slipped my mind that you can't stroll down to Auto Zone and pick up a little part for an RB. I was totally in the middle on which to buy cuz the RB is cheaper. I just didn't know if there was some major problem with the RB in that engine bay like wiring or something weird.
