i had heard of people doing this but hadn't seen pics of one. looks pretty good, but i wonder how well it will fit with the turbos in there.

the vg30dett swap is actually cheaper than some would think atleast cheaper than the rb25. but just the custom mounts that scares people away.

look like lots of room left in there, this particular one is acutally aready running.

my dream swap is a VQ45 (Infinity Q45 V8), twin turbo....drool....

I bet that swap would be street legal in CA too... aslong as you retained all the 240sx smog parts.

just when I though I was the only one looking for this swap..this one is cheaper than the rb25 swap and has more power 280.. I know someone who just out one in a 88 300zx and it hauls major @$$.. it mounts right in the 300zx bay and 300zx came with an rb20 and you can get mounts for an rb20 from mcKinney, so would it be safe to say that in order to mount it all you need is the sutom mount kit?? Oh yeah on a 240 right now my only question is the transmission since the vg30det comes with an auto.. would you remove the bell housing from the z32 and mate it to a z31 88 and up 5 speed and have it sit in the right position? when my cousin gets his motor and everything pieced together I'll measure and let you guys know..Looks great keep us updated.

the 300zx equiped with a v6 has a different crossmember than the one with the rb20. the mount kit from mckinney for the s13->rb20det swap will not bolt on.
