Not about a 240 or any nissan but wiring

my friend is trying to wire his safc to his corolla. His maf has 3 wires. I am asuming one is positive,negative,ground. But the safc has 1 wire. How can you tell whats ground and whats whatever. Even after that how the hell can you tell which wire to hook it up to

cut the mafs signal wire in half near the ecu, connect the wire coming out of the ecu to the yelow wire on safc, connect the wire coming out of the mafs to the white wire on the safc. got it ?

oh, i think the white wire is the signal if there is a white?
