Not able to get acceleration at 40 mph

I have a 98 Q45. Whenever I hit around 40 mph the car is hesitating to speed up and then when I hit 55-60 I can feel the car accelerate freely.

Anybody can tell me if that might be the knock sensor

You can pretty well determine how they are functioning yourself when you perform the Ohm resistance test on them through the KS harness.
