I just found the second Tire pressure monitoring on my car has gone bad. Both of them have cracks in the valve stem area. Plus I found out my car has a small crack in the front structure which also got me amazed in how thin the metal is on the front structure! Holy cow is this thin metal structure normal on a new car? The car was in an accident with a deer 2 weeks after getting the car and the guy who put it together at the body shop didn't do a good job as the right front fender is out with a noticeable gap. That accident happened more than a year ago. So I could use some help on what I should do. Thanks!

your second tire sesnor has gone bad, or the brain for the TPMS? Sensors will crack or break off if you push or hit them sideways.

I don't understand your second part.

One of my sensors went bad too. Over time, the components in the TPMS go bad. Valve stems usually crack which leaves you with an air leak. When you get the tires rotated (as you're supposed to) some places will replace the components in the TPMS. Some, like VIP in my area, will just let it be so that eventually it'll blow and you'll have to pay them more money to fix it. Last time I checked a brand new TPMS unit costs around $100. It's another $50 to install it and have the sensor recalibrated at the dealership. To replace the components of the TPMS (such as the valve stem) cost me a grand total of $9 per tire. It's called "preventative maintenance". I'd rather pay $40 once a year than pay $150 every time one of these cracks on me. Hope this helped!
