did you prep and clear coat it?how many coats did you?how far did you hold the can away?
Thanks
well this wasnt my first time painting anything, so experience helps. there were many f***-ups when i first started painting anything, but ive learned how to do it properly.
i bought an automotive scuffing pad (aka scotch bright scouring pads) from pep boys, and scuffed up the wheel with that making it smooth for the paint to stick.
i painted the inside of the wheels first with one coat, because that is all it needs, and it looks nice.
i then sprayed the outside of the wheels. holding the can about 5-6in away, moving left to right at a steady pace creating an even wet coat. the coat you spray on has to be wet, but not dripping or that means you effed up. it should dry in about 7 mins, thats when its time to add another coat. i put 3 coats on them, and they completely dried in less than 3 hours.
you also have to make sure when you put your base coat on, that you cover everything. my base coat covered everything, and when i was done with the first coat it looked like it was done, but you still need to put on at least 2 more coats.
depending on the the finish of the paint itself, you will or will not need a clear coat. being that mine is matte black i didnt need a clear coat, or else it wouldve become glossy and i didnt want it to be.
