I have a few updates on my car. Nothing major, but I'm still excited about them. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves
First: about 2 weeks ago I had my valve cover sand blasted and then I painted it. It makes the engine bay look a tad better...I guess.ps- I have no idea what the fudge was up with my camera. I'll get better pics soon.
Next: a few weeks ago was my 18th birthday, and my GIRLFRIEND(I capitalized so that you know that even if you think they are rice or what not I can't just take them off) bought me some seat covers custom made to fit my car. they fit pretty good except for its raised about 3-4 inches from the seat in the area where your back rests. The drivers seat is slowly setting into place but the passenger seat only gets used on weekends.
Since I had the factory checkered theme going on, it obviously did not mach. So what do you do? Well you re-do your door inserts of course. Now, for anyone wanting to do this, It's amazingly easy. The hardest part is masking the door off to spray the glue.Just take your time.I'm extremely happy. I'm going to take some of the mesh material and have someone re-do my seat covers and cover the red part with it. I'll make sure to take pictures when I reinstall the panels tomorrow
And the last one is my favorite. I've had two sitting in my room for a month now, and I finally found the other 2. They are refinished so they look brand new.
I paid 150 each for the 2 I have now which are the 18x8.5. These 2 were all they had in stock. After a month of search I finally found a place that had the in stock and ordered 2 18x8s for 199 each. Once I get tires I'll get them on and snap some pictures
In other news: I think I'm coming down with strep throat, which is awesome because I have an interview on wednesday. Go figure right? If I manage to get the job, The first think I'm buying is coilovers, that's a promise. I've been working on my car non stop all week, mainly on getting rid of most of the annoying rattles. I've gotten rid of 95% of them which is great. All I need is some dynamat to eliminate some road noise. Well, that's pretty much it for now. I wish I had more for you, but I just don't have the funds for anything crazy, but stay tuned. thanks for reading
