so i finally decided the other day to put my left over sneaky pete nitrous system on my maxima because i already have a 150 shot on one of my 300zs. it is a 50 shot and i have alot of bolt ons maf, intake, headers, exhaust, ecu upgrade, pulleys, but unfortunately all stock internals!! should i put a medium or maybe race cams in it?? keep in mind that i drive it daily and have 2 zs but its got such potential that its hard to keep my hands off of it!!if anyone has changed there cams which ones would be streetable?

I think most of the standard grinds available for the VG's are probably going to be pretty streetable. I recommend calling up a cam place and telling them what you want though as they're usually very good about being able to match up your cams to your goals. I've heard good things about Isky cams so you may try there. Avoid Schneider though... they've been getting some bad rep lately for poor quality grinds.

Makes me miss my Maxima... turbocharged mine with a regular Z31 T3 and was getting ready to slap on a Holset HX35 with the aim of 400-500 hp before I found out it was rusted beyond repair.

Is it a JWT ECU? I believe they charge a lot less for a reprogram once you already purchase one off of them. Since you already have it that would be the cheaper route but you could also get a Nistune or Zemulator and program it yourself, but it'll cost about the same as the initial JWT tune.

I used the Z31 manifolds and modified the left manifold to re-route exhaust to the crossover pipe then put the turbo on the crossover pipe. I moved the battery to the back and that made plenty of room for a turbo. I was going to remake the exhaust manifold setup using two right manifolds from a Z31 that ran two separate pipes to the turbo for better flow but didn't get a chance to before finding the rust.

Here's my oooooollllldddd article on turbocharging the Maxima: http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=158463

This page has some pictures and info of the setup but before I got to clean it up... the intake and exhaust design were flat out terrible at the time: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/177457

Yeah, I noticed that. They changed the links to the pages. If you use Cardomain's page links it works fine, I just need to get in there sometime and change the links I made... and maybe update it.
