I haven't used a nose mask in years, partly because the older ones fluttered at speed and there were reports that they could wear a line on your paint from the vibration at speed. It has become necessary for me to drive to Florida on occassion and the Lovebugs there can be terrible. Does anyone currently use the Infiniti offered nose mask on their M? I'd like to get one if they do the job and fit correctly without causing any damage.

Clear is the best way to go to get the protection you’re looking for and maintain the look of your vehicle.

Bra’s do work as a temporary solution and if cost is a factor, as long as you don’t leave them on. I had them on my last 4 cars, Nissan Z, Lincoln LS, BMW 3 and 5 series. They do provide the protection but don’t always look so attractive.

I opted not to return to the bra on this car because it looks ugly and I wash my car every week and removing and putting it back on can be a chore

Hope this helps

Like the other folks said, the plastic/cloth nose bra's have problems with long-term use ... water and dirt trapped can cause damage. The edge flutter can put micro-cracks in the paint, etc.

So, yeah, go clear! ... use the products from http://www.stongard.com for an outstanding result.

I'm impressed you guys were able to even install the nose mask. I had one on my old Audi, and decided I wanted one for my M35. The dealer had to put it on the first time, but I'm not able to get the thing installed again.

Does anyone know what the trick to getting this thing installed might be? The dealer literally screwed the first clip to the vehicle, in violation of the instructions and now I can't figure out where the screw hole is.

I think I'll take it back and investigate the stongard product.
