No, no it doesnt. You can very easily drive around at low throttle in vacuum, as you can with pretty much EVERY turbo setup.

You dont need a cometic HG, they are way more of a PITA than they are worth for anything under 400 hp. Fel-Pro/stockish HG's have held 500 hp all day long. Studs either, dont need them. You dont need to worry about the stock studs lifting until over 350-400 hp.

The reason people think NOS is the worst thing ever is because people think they can just slap a 100 shot NOS kit on their car and be good to go. They blow their motors, report to everyone that NOS sucks, and thus you get threads like this. ANY NOS or Turbocharged car can be done right, and be made to run reliably and well.

With extra HP, you need extra fuel, and a way to monitor/change your AFR's. You cant expect a stock ECU with stock maps and stock injectors to accommodate for a 100 shot of nos without grenading the engine.

If you want to do this as safely as possible, you need a wideband O2 sensor, and some tuning device. Or just run a 50 shot wet and call it a day, you will be happy with the results.
