Umm... immediately after I reply to this I'm locking this thread.

N.O.S is a company owned by Holley that makes nitrous oxide kits.

Nitrous Oxide is the gas that oxidizes when heated, providing more oxygen molecules during combustion. When paired with fuel the cycle creates more horsepower and especially torque.

A turbocharged car can run nitrous oxide however to use it under boost (like in the movie) you need to know how to tune the fuel and timing maps properly to prevent pre-ignition and detonation. Using nitrous oxide on small turbo motors with stock manifolds will create cracks, blow out gaskets, and burn exhaust valves.

The use of "two big bottles" of nitrous oxide is purely a commercial trick to get people such as yourself to purchase two of the larger, and more expensive, bottles thinking you'll make more power. When in actuality the amount of power you make is relative to the jet (pill) sizes you plumb into either the intake or the intake manifold. One 10lb. nitrous bottle is usually enough to hold people over for a week of occassional usage and is more than enough for 95% of the people that use nitrous oxide.
