Well, there was a debate in another thread, and for fear of it being locked I started this thread. Well here I go, this is my reason for saying its Forced Induction.

Forced: The capacity to do work or cause physical change; energy, strength, or active power: the force of an explosion

With this said, think about the intake system. It sucks air in to the chambers right. Now taking the enviroment into consideration it is sucking up the air around you, the air you have no control over. "or cause physical change" you are changing, or adding another chemical. one that is not in the air. You press a button, and the jets force the Nitros into the intake.

Induction: the act of causing or bringing on or about

Your bringing Nitros into the system, nothing else about it.

I always said forced induction because you are forcing more O2 into the chambers.... sooo forcefully bringing O2 in to the chambers...

i dont understand why there has to be a big debate about the meaning of forced induction tho... lol

Edit: ok now i get it... forced like turbos and SCs... NOS can be forced since you are actually stuffing more O2 into the chambers.Whether it's chemical or mechanical what you get in the end is the same sooo yea NOS is forced induction

lol True... but my input... force is just anything pushing or pulling... so basicly instead of being at 0 psi/0 vacuum... if you have any air forced into the motor whether it be a gay ram air intake or anything like that that forces air in, you have forced induction.

I read this in a magazine a while ago, It is forced induction (N2O, Turbocharger or supercharger) It forces more air in. Nitrous is a form of Forced Induction period
