i was thinking of just buying a 5spd with 80k for 2500 idk . but i kinda but not really need it cuz my back rotors shot they go thru brake pads like crazy and make this ****ty sound

nino: imo sell your car and buy a manual.. there are several on craigslist in the $2000 range.. and your car is pretty clean so you can definitely get that much for it.. also save the money that you have for clutch, tires, repairs.. z32 brakes are the last thing you need on your car..

i know i was thinkin the same thing. instead of doing the 5spd swap just muy a manual car . But idk im tryin to do what i can i just gave it a tune up.

nino nobody is going to buy and auto 240. just keep ur car and buy 5spd parts.. its the best way cuz that way u know how ur motor has been treated and everything.. u can buy all 5sp parts for like 300buxs. and im on vacation and still gettin paid hahahah..

This Saturday, i will be working on this kids s14 with a rb25 if any is bored or wants to stop by, prolly all day, and once i finish his car i will be putting my motor back togeather, and hopefully installing it my sunday, if ne one wants to stop by call me 732 552 1467 if we get enough people we can take a cruise i know a ****ing ton of nice spots

UPDATE: im sure u all know i sold my car, now i have a rb20 fastback and a s13 black top in a fastback........im dropping the trans today in the sr cause the H pattern is crapped up and poppin a ka trans in there....as for the rb20 i decided to pull that out and put it in a coupe....with help i could probably have the sr running today or tomorrow

I want to start a drifting/driving club for people in the NJ area.

There's no (legal) place to drift in this area. The only option is autocross, which barely gives you any driving time.

Here's how I see this working:

1. get ~20 people who are interested in doing this.2. find parking lots to rent for a day3. set up a course with cones4. drift/race all day

If you're interested or know of any parking lots in NJ that would work, let me know.

I've tried this is my area. Even went to the Mayors office and talked to him about a few empty lots. I went as far as going to the court house and pulling records to find owners of abandoned lots. All i got was a big "No" from all sides. Due mainly to insurance and reliability. But if you get anything going , ill drive to NJ.

Ok from what im to understand this place contaminated the ground water in the area so it was shut down, about 950 million gallons worth of the ground water was contaminated, the clean up is to run until 2016.

And what I gathered from another site it seems like theres a "polluter pays" law in effect that this site falls under, which means it doesnt get federal funding to help clean the area. So this could be our in if the company is hurting for money and a bunch of "kids" show up saying we wanna pay to use the lot they might bite.

Some good things about the lot is its fenced in with one main gate, its been repaved not too long ago and there isnt many obsticals (I.E light poles islands)

we were supposed to have found an empty old airstrip. I think we got permission to go there and drift but idk what is happeneing with that. Hopefully we will find out soon.
