^ SWEET on both Nick and Jon's post! Glad you figured it out man, i figured that there would be a subharness. i was looking at it like WTF?!

But anyway, yeah piston 4 (i think,) melted in the cylinder, so I took it out and replaced the entire left bank of pistons. Im really hoping at this point that the cylinders arent worn unevenly or don't have scoring or I'll have to buy oversized pistons and have this place bore out my block.

I'm sending it out to Ideal Auto Repair in Somerville for a hot tank and block/head inspection as soon as I request a friday off. BTW that's the closest machine shop to Boston, their prices are awesome for engine building and everything. A thorough cleaning only costs 75 bucks for the block!

hahaha. carlisle is easier so its a good place to start. our track in Owego, NY is actually very good to start on, its essentially an oval. haha. actually, if you add me on FB, ill add you to the group and you can come on down and do a couple drift days! haha

well heres where i stand. i had a job for a little while and bought my car but now have no job at 17 years old. so right now my car is undergoing a 5 spd swap (hopefully, rusty bolts sure are a pain) so im hoping to find a job to insure and pay for the z and have the swap all done by june. i hope i can pull it off!

have confidence! insider tip - the computer software/web design (computer science) fiel hires like crazy! get to the books and in the meantime,start at the bottom of the tier jobs on craigslist (manual labor) then keep workin up from there!

starting my plenum pull to replace my manifold gasket tomorrow! *dun,dun,dun!!!* i reeaallly hoped i wouldn't have to do this again. ah well. after this, she should be good for a bit! gonna hunt down some more vacuum leaks and make sure she idles right, probably even replace some/all of my IAC system. but! i will be good for the meets (: wish me luck guys!!
