Is it unusual for the CAS to be properly timed with the bolt further to one side of the adjustment range? More than 3/4 to one side I would say. I have verified the timing to be 15* with a few different lights and methods. Engine runs great, no problems just noticed this while going over the engine bay.

Nope. I've seen it pegged all the way to the left and right at 15*.

I'm in a paranoid mood :/, I feel the need to go count timing belt teeth. So much sleep lost over Z's lol!

You're probably fine man. Some 1990 models wear the CAS out to the point where it needs more and more adjustment to the side. My car was running bad when I got it, and the CAS was out of adjustment. I had to move it all the way to one side where it ran a lot better but still wasn't timed right. I pulled it off to inspect, and the shaft on the CAS where it mates to the camshaft was worn down. Instead of a half moon, it was more like a point lol.

So if you ever have problems with timing, just pull the CAS off and check that out - I doubt you have a timing belt issue :)
