Hi All,

Not sure where this thread should go.

Anyone notice that there are too few Infiniti dealerships in the Bay Area/Norcal? Just the other day, I noticed that Infiniti of Oakland shut down. Not saying they were really all that great, but at least their service prices were competitive (saved about $100 on intermediate service for my I35 vs. some nearby dealerships). This was a year or so after Serramonte Infiniti shut down. And I found out that Frontier Infiniti and Peninsula Infiniti are owned by the same people. So basically, that leaves us with 6 dealerships in the Bay Area. Beshoff (San Jose), Frontier (Santa Clara), Peninsula, Marin, Niello (Concord), and Pleasanton.

Anyone know why Infiniti has a hard time keeping these dealerships open?

Thanks.

I worked at Niello for a few years. A lot of these places are just feeling the recession. Not high enough demand in the bay for more then that many dealerships right now. I know when i left Niello sales were pretty sluggish but i dont think they're going anywhere. Hey at least you dont own an Audi and live on the central coast. I work at Audi in Santa Barbara and the next dealership north of here is four hours away in Monterey.

You are lucky you have Infiniti dealerships (plural).

In the entire state of Oregon, there is only ONE Infiniti dealership and it's over 100 miles away from me.

For as long as Beshoff and Niello dealerships are in the Bay Area, closures of other dealerships won't bother me. Peninsula used to be good...as for Frontier, I have nothing good to say.
