Hey all,

I know I haven't posted much on this forum but I have been an active reader for quite some time, and I've been trying to get some more information on this but couldn't really dig up anything specific yet:

I want to make mods to my '08 Altima 3.5SE, but I don't want to build parts into my car myself. Instead I'm looking for a reliable shop in the Bay Area where my car is treated nicely even if it doesn't say Porsche on the front. I want that shop to put in my Injen CAI and my Nismo Cat-Back Exhaust System, other mods might follow later.

I am also looking for a shop (which might or might not be the same as the first shop) that could recommend and do suspension work for me. I am looking for more than some simple Eibach lowering springs, I want a more rounded package of modifications. A friend of mine got his GTO done by Pedders Suspension in the East Bay, but they do mostly American cars and don't list Nissan. But check out their comprehensive (and upgradeable) packages, I want that for my Altima!

I will edit this posting as people respond and create some kind of top 10 list or so with recommendations, so other people reading this thread will find the information at the top and not spread over 25 replies (if I get that many).

I realize that there is a forum for California related postings, but what I am really looking for is to found out where people bring their ALTIMA to have work done and not their Z's, G35s etc.

Thanks!

Well if you are looking for car audio, the shop I go to is called Bay Car Stereo, in Sunnyvale.

They do everything imaginable as far as audio is concerned. They do window tinting as well. I have been taking both of my cars there, and am pleased so far.

As far as other mods are concerned... I don't know of a place either

I can't tell you who is a good shop, but I can say stay away from Speed Merchant for suspension.

as far as the injen intake goes you really should consider with an outcome of doing the install yourself. it's really so simple at long as you assemble the whole thing first before dropping it in your engine compartment.

I've heard good and bad. My old boss had his e46 done there, got an AVIC-Z2. They not only took four days longer than they said they would, they also installed it crooked in the dash. I don't know what dash kit they used, but there was some strange fitment.

Giving the post a booster since it went down to page 3 already.. also added some more shops people recommended outside this thread.
