This is Chris in Atlanta GA, the Nopi Nationals will be held here on Sept. 21st and 22nd. Last year a lot of 240's were at the show but scattered all over the grounds, we want to try and get as many 240's grouped together as possible this year. I went by the Nopi main office this morning and asked how we all could be put in the same place together and be judged. I was told to fill out all the hardcopy forms for everybody (which I have here) and put the same car club on all of them (which I think we should put 240sx.org, so incase anybody else in the US does the same who did not get this mail will also be grouped with us most likely) then turn them in all together at one time. I plan to do that on Thursday the 29th of this month. So if any of you are going to show and want to stick together and have not already registered, then I need the following info. I will then take all the forms together and hand deliver them to NOPI. Keep in mind the cost are...Vehicle RegistrationPrior to September 1st = $65.00After September 1st = $75.00Spectator Admission = $25.00 or $40.00 for weekend(under 12 $5.00)

I'd like to get all this done and take the forms back to them by the 29th of this month, which is next Thursday. Here is what I need...Name:Address:City:State:Zip:Day Phone:Night Phone:E-mail:Car Show Class # (See this link http://register.nopi.com/index...id=10 Notice, for those of you who it applies to, there are classes at the bottom for a category for engine swaps) So give me any and ALL class #'s you wish to compete in, be careful though, for each class # you put, your are charged the amount shown on the link above. I also called NOPI show rep and asked the difference in conservative and mile class. I was told that "conservative" is just a stock car with just a few add-ons and "mild" is anything above that and you can only register your car in one or the other, not both.) I'm going to skip the Hydraulic class #'s for obvious reasons. Dyno Contest Class # (If you want to compete in the dyno contest then get a class # from here http://register.nopi.com/index...id=16 ) Burnout Class # (If you want to participate in the Burnout contest then pick which day you want to do it on and tell me the class # found on this page http://register.nopi.com/index...tid=3 ) Sound Competition classes #'s (please put all that apply, they are the bottom 3 links on this page as well as the "DB Drags" link, http://register.nopi.com/index...wid=6 Then I need info on your car.Year:Make:ModelModel Details (Be specific i.e. - VTEC/AWD/VR6/TURBO/ ETC)Color:Body Type: 2DDo you have a display for your car?If so, what is the size? Are you a member of a car or truck club:Club name: 240sx.orgPayment type is? (Visa, MC, Amex, Discover)Card #Exp. Date:Name on card: If your not comfortable giving me your credit card info you WILL need to register on line here http://register.nopi.com/index...wid=6 Then I guess that's it, it does say here though "Pre-Registering and arriving together can secure groups of spaces for you and your friends or car club." If you need more, check the nopi site here http://www.nopinationals.com/nats_2k1_info.shtml

My direct email is [email protected] if you need it to send the above info.

Today I lined up a 10 foot by 20 foot tent that says Yokohama all over it for us to use at the show so we can stay out of the sun and rain. So everybody bring your folding chairs, a boombox and coolers if you want. Nopi says the coolers have to be 14" x 14" x 14" or smaller. That will also give us a good place to put all the crap out of our car that we might have to travel around with but dont want to be in it as we show etc. I've also got some Yokohama banners that are still blank on one side and I'm going to take those to a sign shop and see how much it would be to put "240sx CCA" on them so we can hang those on all 4 sides of the tent. Also, I only have one person who has sent me their registration info so what's the deal with the rest of you. Everybody dont worry about what your car looks like or what you have done with it, Nopi judges suck anyway, so that's not the point, the point is to have a ton of 240's together, not all over the place down there, so register. Dont make me take 3 forms back to nopi on Thursday. I mean I guess can take them back later but it's $10 more that way. I have some pictures of some cars that were there last year. I put them up on the web just now, you guys take a look at some of them and tell me if you know who they belong to and if you have a email for them or anything etc. Click these linkshttp://www.executivecleancar.c...3.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...2.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...1.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...2.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...3.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...4.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...1.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...2.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...1.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...4.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...2.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.com/Nopi2001/G201.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...4.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...1.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...3.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...4.jpg http://www.executivecleancar.c...5.jpg

Ok, guys a little bit more info here. Alright, as this page on Nopi's site says http://www.nopinationals.com/n...shtmlTo register a car is $65 so long as you register before Sept. 1st Then after that, it goes up $10 and becomes $75. So what I have to do is turn in tomorrow or Friday at the latest, the people I have already so they get the $65 rate. Then I still want ANYBODY else who wants to come, to still register with me (see first post above for how) because I talked to the registration person with NOPI today to make sure I could get the late registration people to also be grouped in the same area as the early ones so as to still keep us all together as much as possible. I was worried about that because that means I'll be turning in two groups of forms at two different times but I think I have it worked out with them.

Ok, a few other things..I am getting a lot of mail asking me if we are meeting up at a certain place and time on Friday night or Saturday morning to go to the show. We do not have any real plans like that as of yet. That does not mean we wont by that night. So here is the plan for now. If your not from this area, and you get in on Friday night, you can call my cell phone at 404-803-4669 or another local 240 guy Tony Schultz at 404-307-6344 and ask if we are doing dinner or anything on Friday night with everybody and then we'll tell you where we are etc. Now, on Saturday morning (show morning) you will already have your nopi packet that was mailed to you to get in the show so just go to the show and find the colored section that is written in your packet then the rest of us will be in that section and just look for all the 240's parked together or look for the big Yokohama tent I'll be bringing. Look at this link and you'll see what I'm talking about as far as the different areas in the show being colored http://www.nopinationals.com/L...2.jpg

Last think I also want to mention is, I am getting a lot of people who say "my car is not going to be ready, or My car isn't good enough to show etc. Look, as I said above, we dont care if you bring the car or not and what the heck it looks like, just be there. Here is the deal too, if you register as if your bringing a car to show, it cost you $75 for both days for 2 people and that's even if you register late. If you just pay general admission, it's $40 per person so that's $80, so it's still cheaper just to register your car, even it it's not coming and you are or it's coming but you dont want to show it, just bring it in and park with the rest of us. A lot of us got tired of walking all the way out to the parking lot to look at somebody's car that should have been inside with the rest of us so just think about that.

Again, if anybody needs anything else, email me direct at [email protected] or call my cell.

I'll be happy to help.

Nice to see everybody on this forum jumping on this so egarly. Anyway, Forms for all the the on-time people were tuned in today. I can still take registrations up untill midnight on Tuesday night but it will cost you $10 more making it $75 total to get you, a friend, and your car in the show for both days.

After Tuesday, you need to register yourself on line here http://www.nopinationals.com/n...shtml just be sure to put "240sx.org" as your car club and there is a chance they will group you with the rest of us.
