Alrite once you hear what i have done, please feel free to let the pay outs run. i work at a petrol station and as a bonus i get free car washes. Now the car which i had before the maxima had its antenna broken off. This was my first time going through with my maxima so i went through without turning the sterio off. . So was goin through the car wash (atleast the car looks good) and i couldnt see the antenna in the rear vision mirror because of where it was placed. The car wash finishes, start to drive off and as i looked through the rear vision mirror i see the top off my antenna has bent nearly at 90 degrees!!!! pulled over and put it straight again, luckly it didnt snap off. Unfortunelty when i turned the sterio off and it lowered the top metal strip didnt go down into the holder so it is popping out about 15cm. What should i do?!?!? I was thinking possibly sawing it off and placing the top metal 'bumb' down onto the next level.

Well, first , Welcome to NICO.

Second, it sounds like time for a new antenna. It is easy to replace, it is all contained inside the trunk behind the paneling.

Third, even if it is free, stay away from the automatic car washes. I'll drive my car dirty for a month, before I let it get washed my one of those.
