I think it's a pretty good move for him. NO, the Knicks don't "SUCK", their former coaching staff sucked **ahem ISIAH THOMAS ahem**.
The Knicks actually have a very well stacked line-up, including Stephon Marbury, Eddy Curry, Zach Randolph, Jamal Crawford, David Lee, Quentin Richardson, Nate Robinson, Malik Rose, etc. Not to mention they will be getting a couple pretty high draft picks next year, due to their horrendous record. They obviously have LOTS of very talented players, they just didn't have the right guy behind the clipboard to mesh them and lead them.
I think with D'Antoni's help the Knicks could very well be some kind of threat in the East. It's very exciting if you think about it..
On another note, he left the Suns because of "friction between he and Steve Kerr (GM of the Suns)".. but IMO he probably left because he realized they were idiots for picking up that big, overweight, stupid lazy guy.. what's his name? oh yeah... Shaq
