So I go to wash my car yesterday and I get one heck of a surprise; there is a pretty sizable scuff mark right behind the passenger rear wheel on the rear bumper. I really have no clue how this happened, but the good news is it does appear to be above the surface, and I was wondered if anyone knows any solid solutions to getting rid of it. I read online that maybe some WD-40 or a quality polish will work. I had this Nu Finish Scratch remover that didn't help a lot. Any Suggestions. Thanks

Is that like a white paint scuff mark? can you scratch it off with your finger nail? I'd try taking it off with Mother's compound..stage 1 and 2 then finish it off with a nice coat of wax. It'll help if you have a random orbital buffer too but if you don't a little elbow grease will do the trick too...it'll just take a little bit longer. Good Luck

Ahhh, I just completely destroyed the scuff mark. I bought this turtle wax polishing compound and at first I applied it by hand. That worked a little bit, but then I got the buffer out and that got it out really well. Took about 45 minutes though, it was quite stubborn. There are still a few little spots on there

Next time you should really wash your car before you buff it out with wax

Wash the vehicle before waxing? Since when was this a rule??? Just kidding.

I washed it yesterday, I just rinsed off the dust on the small part that had the scuff mark that I polished. I didn't do the entire car obviously.

Haha yea I know. Sad part is that is the good side of the garage. It is a 2 car garage, but only my car will fit in it with a few feet around it to spare. There is so much stuff on the other side of the garage its crazy. To say my dad has that pack rat syndrome is a complete understatement.

Came out really nice, I have a scuff on my fascia from this humungous tumbleweed that popped out of nowhere on my way home from Big Bear last night.

You should also consider taking care of your car's diarrhea problem

Lol. That is a testament to how overboard PennDot goes as far as putting salt/cinders on the road. They are too cheap to actually use the plows consistantly, instead they just throw a bunch of sh#% on the road to melt the snow. My driveway is at least like 150 feet long and my tires are still covered in them by the time I pull into my garage.
