Any one seen the promos for this new MTV show? "Pimpin Your Ride." It looks like they take normal peoples cars and fix em' up?(rice em' hard?) Rice is my theory. Thoughts? Opinions? Nismo Condoms on your pistons?:rolleyes

i saw on the discovery channel 2 weeks ago a show jsut like that. they put nitrious on a dsm and an engine swap and turbo on a civic then they raced. the girl that owned the civic got like 10k worth of work done and posted it all over the internet plus went out and told the guy with the dsm before she new it was the one she was suppose to race. the civic lost mainly cuz she wasnt used to the power yet, dsm broke an axle. maybe mtv bought the show from them

MTV's show looks more like they put in music equipment, redone interior, and paint jobs and stuff. I don't know how much riceage they will be pounding. I'm not even sure MTV's will include performance parts for the motors.. if anything...maybe something colorful like plug wires..?

Whatever the case.... I'm sure MTV has no intention of listening to the car-owner's viewpoint. I'm sure they'll will just do whatever they want to someones's ride, without a second thought for the owner. I'm guessing it's going to be mostly "Look Good" parts as opposed to "Go Fast" parts. The farther they stay away from street racing/any racing, The happier there lawyers are.

Think about it though... Supafly (I'M Rick James Biatch!) is right. If car enthusiast type shows catch on at MTV... We are gonna be drowning in Civics with fugly bodykits, and neon underbodys. Moreso then we already are, like A LOT more.
