Noobie with a wiring problem! Help!

Hey guys. I have been browsing the forums for awhile and I have picked up a lot of good info but I havent found the answer to my question.
A little background, I bought an 85 720 kc 4x4 about a year ago. The motor went out a couple of months ago and I found a z24 out of an 89 pickup. After a lot of parts swapping I have the new motor in. However, the dizzy wires on the 89 will not plug into the plug on the 85. The 85 dizzy wont fit in the 89 motor either. The problem is the 85 has a blk, white, red and blue wires. the 89 has blk, white, red and green wires. I hooked the wires up color corresponding with the blue connected to the green but when I turned the key to start the truck the black wire started smoking. Does anyone know which wires go to which or does anyone know where I can get the wiring diagram for the two models?

The Chilton guide goes from 1980-1997.
So Things that I could see being different are That 85's were carb'd and 89 were efi, so dizzy is probably gonna be different. I would think the swapping front timing covers, dizzy and oil pump would be all you need. So essentially you would have just been swapping longblocks... unless you completely are swapping to an 89 setup intake and all.

In the manual it says coming off the dizzy are (BW,R, L,B)

B seems to goto the condenser

L goes to one neg of one ignition coil

R goes to one neg of the other ignition coil

BW seems to trace back to a 10amp fuse
