ok im dumb beer with me..

what happens when your stock maf maxes out? will you not make more power?

i have the stock maf and on 50% on 6psi i max that sob out..

so form what i gather it will go to the maximum value on the fuel table for load and not be able to go beyond that. hence not allowing teh car to make more power b/c the ecu thinks its on the limit.

so there for untill i change my maf which i will do this weekend. i cant make more power then around 250 crank.. right?

When you max out your mafs your ecu can't read any excess incoming air. Therefor your ecu doesnt know to add more fuel---then BOOM!!!

You will blow your motor. Your turbo doesnt know to stop adding more air so until you get a bigger mafs, keep the boost down =)

...and the stock mafs is good for about 250whp or so. Thats about 9-12 psi on the average t3/t4 setup.

Sure you can make more power, and blow your motor instantly. Nothing regulates the amount of air your engine sees other than your throttle plate. To much air, not enough fuel .

i don't think not changing my maf will make my motor blow. ive been running around with a stock maf and maxing it out for 8 months now and i still have perfect compression.

form what i understand the ecu will take the last value on the fuel table and keep using that as the a/f ratio. even tho more air is still coming in. therefore if you tune conservative at the end of the fuel map you will still be safe. i have a 11.3: a/f from 4500 -6500, during that time the maf is maxed out..

so retaining your stock maf will not blow your motor, running more psi and allowing more air to come and and not compensating for it will tho.

but its interesting to know that ive been limiting the car to only 250 crank.. that sucks.. that stupid maf needs to go.

No one said that changing your maf will make your motor blow. All were saying is that if you take your mafs max amount of air(250 hp worth) then add say.. 30 hp (or less) worth of air you will create a lean situation and blow your motor.
