NOOBIE HERE!!!240sx blowin off white smoke during 40-50 MPH

Im new to this site and i wanted to see if anyone could help me with my car.after i had a new fuel pump installed.i've been smelling fuel burning through my exhaust and rapid fuel usage.its been about 3 months now and just recently it started blowing white smoke when i reach 40-50 mph.even more if i try to gun it.i really dont know much about cars and interested in getting to know mine more..yes i am a NOOB....haha...i love this car its way better than my eclipse...if anyone can help that would be great...thanks and God Bless

Have you tried searching for "white smoke" after clicking on the big blaring button labelled:

just from the vague info you gave, white smoke usually indicates burning of coolant in the motor.

Check ur Oil stick...if u got to much oil in ur car...ur exhaust will blow out white smoke and try and burn it off...i suggest draning it

^^^^^umm, ur car will blow out BLUE smoke if its burnin oil.

i finally have the time to really check it out i will drain my oil again.i just currently did an oil change.bummer.my timing chain is really bad you guys know how much it would cost to replace?mine is an automatic my buddies and i were planning on doing a transmission swap...you think i should go for it or just buy a manual one?well thanks for the replies i appreciate it.sorry if i sound like a DOOM-ASSss...

The white smoke may be caused by bad wiring to MAF? It happened to me once. It turned out that couple of wires to MAF shorted out.http://www.240sx.org/faq/index.html
