All 1999+ FGY33 have HID low beams, numerous safety improvements each year, and as a symbol of Infiniti bling, an analog clock, also included in the 1998 and later FGY33.DUBY33 wrote: Im thinking of selling it this weekend (without the rims) and getting a 99. Actually, Y33 is either a Cedric or a Gloria in Japan., never a Cima Cima's, upon which the 2nd generation Q45 is based, are all FY33 or, via the US parts manual, FGY33 for the US model.Mopar wrote:Just like 2nd generation Q's are called Y33's.
Actually, it is more correct to say the President was based on the HG50 platform, as was the Q45. There also was an extended wheelbase platform, the JHG50, I believe.loystock wrote:The F50 is the 3rd generation Q45 for model year 2002-2006. It's based on the combined Cima-President platform in Japan. The 1st gen Q, G50, 1990-1996, was based on the President platform while the 2nd gen FY33, 1997-2001 was based on the Cima.

1.) But the G50 Q45 shares the same chassis as the JHG50 President.apossiblehybrid wrote: 1.) no q45 is a president. 2.) cedric is a similiar chassis for the y33 q45 and y34 m45 in japan.
1. yea we know that already. the guy asked if his q45 was a president.maxnix wrote:1.) But the G50 Q45 shares the same chassis as the JHG50 President.
2.) All Y33 are Cedric and Glorias. Cimas and 2nd generation US Q45 are all FY33 or FGY33 (in the US).
The Y34 M45 is a US only model, never avaialble in Japan. It is truly an unique US only model.
