Hello, I am new here and about to start on a unique journey. I will be picking up a VH45DE in the near future and have a few questions. I have picked up the following since being here. Can anyone let me know If I am WRONG :P

1. Can use a stock 90-96 300ZX flywheel.

2. Starter bolts to bell housing.

3. Only 6 bolts hold the bell housing to the motor.

The flywheel will depend on what trans your using. I will assume for this swap that you will be using the Z32 (300zx) transmission. U\Yes you can. You can use either a TT or NA flywheel with the transmission. If you use the NA transmission and a TT flywheel you will need the starter shim.

The starter will bolt to the bell housing in most set ups, however there is a guy who has made the block mounted starter work for him by shaving the flywheel.

What adapter are you using? The mazworx style is a good one and will hold using factory bolts. The Xcessive one will also hold using factory bolts but is a full circle and will hold different than the mazworx one.

NO I will not be using a Nissan transmission. Due to the nature of this swap I would rather not say until I am closer to completion, but the Bell housing for the transmission I will be using is larger by 1" so clearance will not be an issue.

This is good news as I will just bolt it to the Adapter

I have a local machinist doing my adapter since he already has the spec's for the transmission I am using in his CNC. I just need to provide him the bolt pattern for the VH45.
