Noob with a 85 Turbo 300zx and a 96 240sx. What can I take from the 300zx & use?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Just curious, my buddy had a old 300zx that wouldnt pass inspection because of a rotted frame. He was leaving for Iraq and sold the 300zx to me for $20

Anyway I hear alot about zx swaps and would like to know if theres anything I can swap from the 300zx to my new 96 SE 240sx?

Brakes, Turbo stuff? Anything?

Thanks guys!

I cant belive you got a 300zx for 20 bux.

Id sell it for like 1k, then buy stff for the 240.

And when people talk about swapping stuff from 300's there usally talking about the z32.like '90 - '96

Yep, just waiting for my brothers loan to come through and that S14 is as good as mine.

I cant wait. I just taought my GF how to drive stick before I sell the Tiburon to my brother .

Shes all excited that im getting a car that she can drive, i dont know if thats good or bad lol.

The thing about the 300zx is that the entire body is rusted out. The engine bay is the only soso part of the car.

I guess I can still use the turbo and maybe Ill checkout the manifold and see if I can adapt it to fitting.

The cross member and turbo manifold are gold!

There are some inter-changable parts depending on the year 240. I believe the trannys may be the same and maybe the rear end.
