Noob w/ questions on 2008 M45

About to buy this car

Nice car in great shape. Seller states has Bose sound but the car does not have the speakers in seat tops. He said that is found only in the sport package. Is that true? Is there any where online I can input the VIN and get the option packages the car came with? Thanks and looking forward to participating on the board.

I'm not sure of a website to search the original sticker or options but there might be one, I just never searched for one. If I were you I would keep searching for the right car..... Dont let emotions get into it. I know these cars look and drive amazing but with the right packages they are awesome!! I searched and searched until I found exactly what I was looking for!! When used, the price will not be much different from a base to a fully loaded one as is the case when you buy new!! In order to have the speakers in the seats you need to look for the advance tech package!! And so you should it is the BEST!!

I figured it out. This car has the tech package. I haven't found a site to find the options through the VIN search. This car is pretty cherry and the extended warranty is a plus. I think I am going to go for it!

Good luck, but I recommend looking for an adv.tech car and compare. The difference is great!! 14 speaker w/subwoofer, 5.1 dvd studio digital surround sound system, lane departure prevention, Inteligent Cruise Control, etc. I'm sure there is more but I'm just recommending you compare.. Anyone here on the forum will tell you the sound system of the base and tech packages are sub par to say the least!! A subwoofer is the first thing they add, then want better speakers....etc. It doesnt seem to end with the upgrades they want to add but could've had in the adv tech package! Do it right the first time... Just my honest opinion..

and thats not a sport. the front and back bumper are different and the wheels are different. and def get the adv. tech package man. regret not getting it. but hell. aftermarket subs are beast too!

My son (13) and I drove from Houston to Austin to Dallas, last year on Colombus day test driving a Qx56 a couple 07M45 Sports and the last one I saw was the one I got!! My 08M45 Sport adv tech plus rear dvd tv in Plano Tx!! About a $5k difference from the 07's but very much worth it!! Take the journey and get what you really want!!

I personally vouch for Bodyguard, i believe the car you got was the one i was going to get but found a 08 m35 at Austin subaru. But yeah adv tech pack is a must, plus you get a great discount on the extra added safety features like intelli cruise and lane departure warning. But i have an 08 M45s now which has a tech, adv tech, and mobile entertainment. I love it. And sports models dont have a bunch of that crome trimming around the car and has diff front and rear fascia so u can tell the diff, if the S on the back doesnt help lol
