Then you'll need an S13 hatch as your platform to start your mild build. Welcome to NICO, and be sure to check the Convertibles sub-forum in case you're interested in the 240sx 'vert as your starting point. Check NICO classifieds for deals on the car, and also grab the local Auto Trader for a taste of what's available local.(not all local ads make it to their auto trader online listing, so this is why i suggest to still go to the store and grab the magazine)

well you can get like a 95 zenki s14 for that price, but being an s13 person myself, thats where i shall send you. what s13 you want and get is a matter of what you want it to look like, and either whats available in your area, or how far you would go to get it.

well s13 hatch is a very nice start, and if u wreck it, its much easier to find another hatch s13 instead of a more priceier 14... and the hatch is just da sex

yeah, i am in college still, dont think the swaps would be too reliable, i like the 240 for its reliability. i have owned an RX-7 and an older vette, both nice rides, but kinda unreliable.

by the way would the 4000 be just for the car or for the parts and the car?

Welcome. Good luck finding a decent 240. Do your homework before looking. I have a few cars for sale, wink, wink.

whatever you can do budget wise, id say minimum $2k, but like you said if its decent by all means. then you have plenty left over, and youre going the right way imho with suspension stuff. heck i wish i had even that much rolling around to spend right now.

I would say look for a 91+ fastback, probably be easyer to find, I like coupes more my self but you dont see as many, if you can get a DE(91 and up) its a little bit more power stock. I dont want a swap either, but mainly because I live in cali...If you arent worried about smogging I wouldnt copunt it out for reliability reasons, it may take soem work to get it in and going right but most of the swaps (at least the CA and SR) are ment to be in this car and are what power reliable nissans in other parts of the world.
