ya your going to flamed pretty bad

i think you shouldnt worry about power, if you want to beat some one in a strait line buy a mucle car, if you want a 240 you should worry about suspencion before engine, i also think your aiming alittle to high with a sr20 the ka24e would suit you

is there any reason that you're so bent on a sr20? you can turbo the ka and make very good power as well. its all in the research. you also do numerous other swaps like ca18, rb20,25,26,30, lsx,vg,vq,vh, hell i've even seen a h22 swap once. the only limit is your imagination/wallet. just stick some bolt ons right now and invest in your suspension so you can enjoy your car to the fullest without getting too out of control.

P.S. leave the ricers alone, you wont get anywhere by "beating" them. you shouldnt build your car for them, you should build your car for you.

thnx bro i get you but the sr20 is the most worth for the money an rb25 and rb26 is too expensive of a swap

Hold on a minute there ol' chosen one. Japanese car's have been proven to compete in the US, long before you were even out of diapers. Hell long before you've been born. It's retarded kids like you that gives imports a bad name. Going out there trying to race everything on the road because you threw on an intake. A mildly modified SR20 is more than capable of beating lots of Hondas and even V8's. There'll always be someone out there faster than you. This game = money and knowledge. I hope daddy has atleast money because you don't seem to have much of the second one.

Instead flaming this kid, perhaps we should point him in the right direction. no need to insult him, he's 15 and chances are this is his first car. he still has alot to learn and experience.

As far as 300hp is concerned you can achieve that with a build on the ka or the sr20 for about the same price, just depends how you get your parts. any higher than that your going to have to start to rebuild either engine with forged internals or have a great tune.

I'm 15 as well. I don't actually get flamed much cuz I don't ask questions. I usually just skip through people's build threads and most of the time I learn something. Plus I've watched Horsepower TV a few times and have learned a few things from that. If I ever have any questions, I always come to these guys and they're always nice enough to help. I would honestly listen to all of their opinions and if they give you s*** for a decision you make, just let them be and take their advice, don't throw it back in their face and call them an idiot. Also racing Honda's down on US-27 ain't everything. That used to be some what of a dream for me. Now I'm just set on getting what I want done. Then I'll worry about f***ing around down in the MIA.

TL;DR Don't be an idiot. Listen to the Nico guys. Don't be a ricer.

I seriously say go with a nice KA. They're easy to find and easy to get parts for. They are very reliable. Don't jump on the bandwagon for the SR. I will admit the SR is a very good motor and is very reliable, but the whole swap ordeal is just annoying. I say buy a nice 92 coupe or hatch (depends on your taste), put a piggy bumper on it (Optional. I think piggys are way sexier), and just build up the KA. I have an 89 w/ a stock KA24E. I'm trying to find a nice KA24DE block that I can build up with new internals and everything, boost it, and eventually swap it into my car. That is probably one of the best ideas. Buy an older 240, buy a newer motor, build it, and swap it in. Then take the old motor, rebuild it, and sell it. Or do what I'm doing and rebuild it, boost it, and swap it into a vert

I normally don't flame and I can understand being crazy about cars, but don't jump on here saying things like Japanese imports needs to prove themselves. Hint, it's not all about just power that makes you go fast. Lots of Japanese motors have been proven make plenty of power if that's all you're looking for.

OP, the SR20 is very capable of making 400 whp as proven by numerous NICO members already. It also didn't take very much to make those numbers. You really don't even need much more than that in a street driven 240. Search 400 whp SR20 and keep reading.

Have you ever heard of a period? How about a comma or two. I question myself if I wanna get another 240 now... Seems like the scene has turned a bit "fast and furious".

Why don't you just drive the car first? How about that?

Oh wait, you don't EVEN HAVE IT YET so you can't justify complaining about what you're starting with.

I was thinking the same exact thing

i still dont get why you just want to build so much power, where will you get the money, if you want to race some hondas bring it to the track(road course) i say you should lighten the car then suspension, then some bucket seats, then the engine

Hold on guys, he clearly stated that he wasn't 'sorta like' chuki kid, Isn't that proof enough? He just happens to be one year older and have come around at the exact time chukikid's name got destroyed.
